"Family and consumer science courses are great opportunities to learn college and career readiness skills.  I love that we offer a variety of courses that focus on how to balance family, career, and community responsibilities.  Among the benefits of taking FCS courses are skill development in specific career clusters, leadership development through service in action projects, critical thinking development through hands-on projects, and character development through coursework.  We have recently added an opportunity for an industry recognized certificate through our Hospitality and Tourism Management Program.  We work very hard to partner with businesses throughout our area to provide internships, field trips, guest speakers, and panel discussions that relate to each course we teach."
